Hotel Grifo Rome
Nearly 2800 years ago, Rome was founded on seven hills, and Hotel Grifo is located in the area called Monti (hills): the heart of imperial Rome that amazes guests for its closeness to the most famous monuments of ancient Rome: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Palatine Hill, Trajan’s Market and Trajan’s Column.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, the Monti neighborhood, called “Suburra” in ancient times (where Julius Cesar was born) slowly became woods (bosco), as evidenced by the name of the street where Hotel Grifo is located: via del boschetto.
Hotel Grifo, built in 1600, was recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1980.

BY CAR:
The historical centre of Rome is a Limited Traffic Zone, Hotel Grifo, being 5 minutes from the Colosseum is located in the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), the daytime hours when it is active are Mon-Fri 6:00-18:00, Sat 14:00-18:00. Contact us for parking info.
BY TRAIN FROM THE MAIN STATION (TERMINI):

WALKING: Termini Station (the main station) is about 10 minutes walking distance from our Hotel.

METRO: From Termini Station you can take the Metro Line B (Blue Line) direction LAURENTINA and get off after one stop at Cavour Metro Station which is only 3 minutes walk from our hotel.

TAXI: At the exit of the station you will also find the city's white taxis. We recommend that you ask them to start the taximeter as soon as you get on board! Remember that in Rome fares depend on time and not distance!
FROM THE AIRPORT::
FIUMICINO:
From Fiumicino International Airport you can choose between:

TRAIN: You can reach the main station with the train "LEONARDO EXPRESS" that connects the airport to the Roma Termini station. The value of the ticket is 15 € per person.

BUS: Reaching Termini Station is also easy with the bus service. The ticket value is 6 € per person.
By train or bus you will arrive at Termini Station, the main train station.
CIAMPINO:
From Ciampino Airport you can choose between:
